Rotary Exchange Programme

Monday, 5 September 2022

Building peace one youth at a time.

Sponsored Exchange Students discover another culture, learn a new language, and develop into global citizens. In more than 100 countries, exchanges for students ages 15-19 are sponsored by Rotary clubs.

Students develop leadership skills, become well-versed in another language if they are in a new culture, and make lifelong friends.

How long does a Rotary Exchange last?

Usually, short term exchanges last from several days to three months and are often structured as camps, tours, or homestays that take place when school is not in session.

Long term exchanges last a full academic year. Students attend local schools and live with multiple host families.

What are the costs?

Room and board are provided, as well as any school fees. Depending on the country students go to, requirements will vary, but they may have to cover their own

  • Round trip airfare
  • Travel insurance
  • Travel documents (including passports and visas)
  • Expenses for travel or tours

How can I apply?
